It is recommended for drinking, bathing, and for dishwashers. A Clearwave costs $140.

When purchasing a salt free water softener, it really pays to do your research. Out of all of the salt free water softeners at amazon.com, these received the best ratings. Also, these were some of the cheapest ones, as others are normally over $1000.

One other thing to consider, you can always try one out to find out if you are happy with it. But they do have a limited time period for their warranty. So be aware of when your warranty expires and to return it for your money back in case you are not happy in the time allowed.
